All packages are priced for our principal entertainer, DJ Olu. We limit our calendar to just one wedding per weekend to guarantee he personally handles your planning, music curation, and event execution.
Local Market: Includes a 1.5-hour driving radius from Tallahassee (covering Thomasville, Crawfordville, Quincy, and Havana).
Regional & Destination Events: For events outside of our local radius (such as Jacksonville or Destin), a flat regional logistical fee is custom-quoted to cover extended crew travel, transit insurance, and logistics.
Who will actually be the DJ at my wedding?
I will! When you book Akanbi Entertainment, you are booking DJ Olu. I only take on one wedding per weekend to guarantee that I am personally handling your planning, music curation, and hosting from start to finish. You will never be handed off to a random DJ on the day of your wedding.
Do these packages include music for the ceremony and cocktail hour?
Our core packages (Elegant, Signature, and Luxurious) are built around making your reception incredible. If you also need music and microphones for your ceremony, or a separate setup for your cocktail hour, you can easily add those on as "Tier-2 Elite Upgrades" to any package.
We aren't sure which package or enhancements we need yet. Can we decide later?
Absolutely. The most important step is securing your date, since I only book one wedding per weekend. You can lock in your date with our base package and a retainer, and we can always upgrade your package or add enhancements as we get closer to your big day and your timeline becomes clearer.
What if my venue is outside of Tallahassee? Do you charge for travel?
Travel is completely included for any venue within a 1.5-hour drive of Tallahassee (which covers beautiful spots like Thomasville, Crawfordville, and Quincy). If your wedding is further out, like in Jacksonville or Valdosta, we will provide a custom flat-rate travel quote to cover the extra driving time and logistics.
What is the difference between a "Tier-1 Enhancement" and a "Tier-2 Elite Upgrade"?
Tier-1 Enhancements are our standard additions, like venue uplighting or an extra hour of reception time. You get to choose a certain number of these for free depending on which package you select! Tier-2 Elite Upgrades are our larger, premium productions—like Cold Spark Fountains or a dedicated Ceremony Sound System. These are always priced separately as a la carte add-ons.
Can we add lighting, screens, or a photo booth later?
Yes. Many couples lock in their date, then add visuals and experiences once the floor plan and timeline are set.
Can we customize the music?
Absolutely. Your must-plays and do-not-plays always come first. We build around your taste and read the room live.
